Student apartments are undeniably small and they do not suit very well to everything possible under the sky. This is why the tenant committee offers clubrooms to all HOAS-tenants. In clubrooms you can hang out with your friends or host a private event, it's up to you.
There are multiple HOAS-properties in the Viikki area and almost all of those properties have a clubroom or somekind of space that the tenants can reserve for their use. These rooms are there for you — free of charge. Tenants can organize gatherings, parties or have their own conference meetings in the clubrooms. In some properties the clubrooms are in the tenants' common use, so that the property's residents can go there freely. Typically these rooms can also be reserved for private use via the tenant committee.
Because the rooms are shared and there are plenty of users (with even more ways to use the rooms), the tenant committee has created clubroom rules that need to be followed so that the clubroom is still nice to the next tenants. The tenant committee keeps an eye on the clubrooms and that the rules are followed appropriately. You can check out the clubrooms of Viikki below and reserve them for yourself.
Clubrooms reside in different areas of Viikki and they differ from one another in various aspects: size, furniture and ways of use. Typically the clubroms have sofas, chairs and tables around which one can gather or for example study. In many clubrooms the tenants can also watch movies or host a sports studio. Primarily each clubroom also has cutlery, allowing tenants to eat in the clubrooms too. Some clubrooms also offer the opportunity to cook. The clubrooms vary a lot: some are suit for a sauna evening, some for wood work and some for a chill game-movie evening. You can read more about specific clubrooms and reserve them via the buttons below.
