Tournaments are run using chess clock timers (each member gets a maximum of 10 minutes and matches are single elimination.)  There is a $2.00 registration fee for players and spectators and that money will go towards the chess club for use of purchasing supplies.  There will be 4 places that will receive a trophy, gift card, or other prizes. Tournaments begin at 3:30 and end around 5:30. Students who are eliminated may choose to stay and play or watch the continuation of the tournament or call home to be picked up sooner.  Parents are welcome to come and spectate  (no coaching during matches). Our first-place winner will receive a trophy and get to throw a pie in Mr. Gassmann's face! (Pictured on the left)
