Officer Team

Officer Information

The Heritage Middle School Chess Club is a student lead organization with Mr. Gassmann as its advisor. The Officer Team is responsible for the organization, planning, and execution of Chess Club events and activities. All Chess Club members vote to elect officers, and anyone in 7th or 8th grade may run for a position. On election day, students give a short speech explaining why they would be best for a certain position in Chess Club, then an anonymous vote is held. Students hold their position until the next school year when they can choose to run for reelection. Elections are held at the 3rd Chess Club meeting of the year.
