One of the main items we sell out of our concession stands is soda. This continues the tradition of Mr. Gassmann selling them in his classroom for "initials" which are a form of currency he hands out for good performance and behavior. Students who have a parent generous enough to donate boxes of soda will be allowed to receive one free can a week, to be enjoyed at lunch, after school hours, or during chess club for the remainder of the school year. Donations of items such as bags of chips, donuts, and cookies are also greatly appreciated, especially during tournaments. For students who have a parent generous enough to donate a board, clock, or chess equipment, students will have their tournament fee waived for the remainder of their chess club membership.
