Our Trainers
All CELTA trainers are experienced teachers who have a postgraduate level TESOL qualification. They are trained by Cambridge Assessment English and take part in standardisation sessions every year to ensure the high quality of training.
Rob Wood is a freelance English language and teacher trainer based in Jakarta, Indonesia and has been teaching English for over 30 years mainly in Turkey, Thailand and Indonesia. Rob has been a CELTA tutor for over 20 years and a CELTA assessor and DELTA local tutor for most of that time. He has taught and assessed Cambridge CELTA courses in many countries including China, Japan, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Vietnam and India. He has also trained up many new CELTA tutors. In addition to teacher training, Rob is also an experienced examiner for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

Ophelia is an experienced teacher and trainer with a Master of English Education, the Cambridge DELTA and CELTA. She has taught English as a foreign language to a range of learners in various contexts, including English for specific purposes, business English, academic English and exam preparation courses for international English proficiency exams. Apart from teaching and training, she is also an examiner of Cambridge English exams. She is now based in Jarkata, Indoesia and trains teachers on our online CELTA course.

Daryna is a Teacher of English and Teacher Trainer based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Daryna is also a Mentor, which involves helping less experienced colleagues on a daily basis. She is an experienced teacher with almost 10 years of teaching experience, teaching all levels and ages: Very Young Learners, Young Learners, teenagers, adults; in a variety of contexts: one-to-one, groups, exam preparation, CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), Business English. She regularly attends and presents at ELT (English Language Teaching) conferences in Ukraine and internationally. Teacher training and teaching are among Daryna’s greatest passions as she considers sharing knowledge to be rewarding and empowering.
