Four Corners Debate
Four Corners Debate
Participants: Whole class
Summary: Students stand in the corner that represents their opinion. Speaking from their corners, students try to convince others to move to their corner.
For example, for the topic "hamburger vs. pizza" all the students in the class get up and stand in the corner they agree with: hamburger is the best, pizza is the best, both are the same, neither is good. Then let a volunteer from each corner speak in turn. After each time a student speaks, all participants have a chance to move to a different corner if they were convinced.
