Uplands (previously Stonehouse) was built about 1570 of red sandstone with stone mullioned windows and tall ornate chimneys. Its name changed from Stonehouse to Uplands in the 20th century. Previous occupiers included Samuel and William Bond, Timothy Cark, Charles Badham, James Hayward, Captain Curtis and Walter Drew.
