Arknell (Haknell) Cottage

Arknell (Hacknell) Cottage is a timber framed farmhouse built between 1660 and 1670. By 1691 it belonged to John Pritchard of Hope

End. In 1806 the Hope End estate sold it to John Skippe of Upper Hall for £1,100. On the sale of the

Upper Hall estate in 1919 it was sold to the sitting tenant, Charles Curnock.
