Residents in Hagerstown, MD, and Chambersburg, PA have sent telegrams to the Government office warning of Confederate soldier presence in their towns. Citizens in Chambersburg report that the Confederates have destroyed their town, they are urging for the Union Army to get rid of the Rebel presence.
