Completing this portfolio has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It has given me a deeper appreciation for the nuanced art of translation and interpretation. I've learned that true proficiency in simultaneous interpretation goes beyond vocabulary; it requires a deep understanding of content, quick decision-making, and the ability to listen and speak at the same time.
One of the biggest lessons was learning to navigate the challenge of rapid-fire speech, especially in videos like the TED Talks. This taught me the importance of anticipation and focusing on the core message rather than getting stuck on every single word. I also discovered the joy of literary analysis, where translation becomes an act of recreating not just words, but emotion and tone.
I am more confident in my abilities now than I was at the start of this course. My main suggestion for future practice is to focus on a wider variety of speakers and topics to prepare for any scenario. This portfolio is not just a showcase of my work, but a testament to my growth and passion for the field of languages.
Completar este portafolio ha sido una experiencia increÃblemente gratificante. Me ha dado una apreciación más profunda por el arte matizado de la traducción y la interpretación. He aprendido que la verdadera competencia en la interpretación simultánea va más allá del vocabulario; requiere una comprensión profunda del contenido, una toma de decisiones rápida y la capacidad de escuchar y hablar al mismo tiempo.
Una de las mayores lecciones fue aprender a enfrentar el desafÃo del habla rápida, especialmente en videos como las charlas TED. Esto me enseñó la importancia de la anticipación y de centrarme en el mensaje principal en lugar de quedarme atascado en cada palabra. También descubrà el placer del análisis literario, donde la traducción se convierte en un acto de recrear no solo palabras, sino también la emoción y el tono.
Ahora tengo más confianza en mis habilidades que al inicio de este curso. Mi principal sugerencia para futuras prácticas es centrarse en una variedad más amplia de oradores y temas para prepararse para cualquier escenario. Este portafolio no es solo una muestra de mi trabajo, sino un testimonio de mi crecimiento y pasión por el campo de los idiomas.
