Most core subject classes at Terra are honors courses. They tend to be more engaging and challenging than regular courses in other high schools. Honors courses increase your weighted GPA by 1 point (ex: an A in honors would be a 5.00 rather than a 4.00).
Advanced Placement (AP) classes are college-level courses offered at your high school. They are fast-paced and content heavy curriculums with an end-of-course AP exam. Depending on the score you receive on the AP exam (1-5), you can obtain college credits in different universities. AP courses increase your weighted GPA by 2 points. Your grades in AP classes will affect ONLY your high school GPA. Click the button below to view all the AP courses offered at Terra.
Dual enrollment classes are college courses you take off-campus at either MDC or FIU. These classes immerse you into the feel of college, allowing you to obtain college credit early on for FREE. D.E classes increase your weighted GPA by 2 points. Your grades in these classes will affect BOTH your high school and college GPA.
