The aim of the module is for the student

• gets acquainted with mathematical modeling using sine and cosine functions as well as exponential and logarithmic functions

• investigates sine and cosine functions using unit circle symmetries

• can solve trigonometric equations of type sin f(x) = a or sin f(x) = sin g(x)

• can apply the connection between sine and cosine functions

sin²x + cos²x = 1

• knows the properties of exponential and logarithmic functions and is able to solve related equations

• be able to use software to study functions and solve equations in connection with applications.
