Icons

For icons and pictograms, we use the Noto Material Symbols icon set. With over 3,000 icons, this set covers all functional, system-related, and communicative needs. The Noto Material Symbols icon set is available under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1 and can be used free of charge across all applications and channels.

The Noto Material Symbols icons we use variable icons, allowing continuous adjustment of visual aspects such as stroke weight and fill levels. For consistency across all media and applications, we always apply the specific settings outlined here. This approach ensures a uniform appearance and reinforces a cohesive brand image.


We offer several options for displaying icons and pictograms in color. The standard color combination is White on HGT Greyblue, or HGT Greyblue on white. When icons are placed freely over images, each case must be evaluated individually to ensure clarity. Important: Always ensure optimal legibility by maintaining sufficient contrast between the icon and its background.
