Heslington churchyard is a beautiful, biodiverse green space that provides a peaceful final resting place for people in the parish.
To ensure that this sacred land retains its special character, we ask that any memorials erected in Heslington churchyard comply with Diocesan Churchyard Memorial Regulations. These can be found in the Diocese of York's 'Guide for the Bereaved', which is intended to guide bereaved families who wish to apply for a burial or the interment of ashes in any churchyard in the Diocese or who wish to place a memorial on a grave.
