When candidates do not meet deadlines, follow directions, or reflect, the IB and CAS Coordinators step in. We intend E101 to be a welcoming place. Many juniors and seniors eat lunch, meet teachers, build Legos, and chill out in the IB office. However, sometimes we must play a heavier hand and require you to spend some time in E101 to accomplish what we ask of you.
I send you a pass days before your required lunch time in E101 (see below). You bring that pass back to me in E101 with your intentions. Then, on your chosen date, you may drop off your stuff, head to the lunchroom, grab lunch, and return. You may also just come straight to E101 or from the lunchroom.
You arrive with your laptop charged, and we ask you to work. You may have questions, but we ask that you read the weekly emails I have sent you, the notes we left for you in ManageBac, and the links available in ManageBac. We intend that you use this time to work.
Then we expect you to demonstrate your maturity and reach out to a coordinator with your plan. Can't make any of the three (3) dates Mr. Booz offers? Come up with another date to spend a red day lunch in E101. We expect you to take ownership of your choice to pursue the IB Diploma Program (IBDP).
Then we expect you to demonstrate your maturity and reach out to a coordinator with your plan. Email Mr. Booz (whbooz@fcps.edu) to explain that plan. We expect action over excuses, a plan and not problems. We expect you to take ownership of your choice to pursue the IB Diploma Program (IBDP). See the trend here?
