Tako Nyōbō

Tako Nyōbō (蛸女房) is a yokai that takes the form of a woman but is actually an octopus in disguise. In some stories, she lovingly prepares broth for her husband, only for him to discover that she has been cutting pieces from her own octopus body, leading to horror and tragedy.
