Kasane (累) is the vengeful spirit from the legend of Kasane-ga-Fuchi, a tragic ghost story from Japan’s Edo period. Betrayed and murdered by her husband, she returns as an onryō (vengeful ghost) to haunt him, embodying themes of revenge and karmic retribution.
