Tonkaraton (トンカラトン) is a mysterious urban legend about a ghostly entity that follows people at night, making rhythmic "ton... kara... ton..." sounds as it walks. Some say it appears as a shadowy figure or mummy, and while it doesn’t always attack, hearing its footsteps is considered an omen of misfortune or death.
