Why do we iron our clothes?
Why do we iron our clothes?
Ironing of clothes increases clothes lifespan because by ironing shirts and dresses, you can keep their shape and look new for longer. Sweater cuffs and even knitted sweaters lose their form over time. The fibres are recovered to their new-purchased structure by steam ironing the garment. When ironing, use parallel strokes rather than circular ones to avoid stretching materials and changing the garment's shape. The clothing will maintain its 'just off the shelf' shape if seams, wrinkles, collars, and cuffs are ironed correctly.
