Well, there are a lot of laundry myths that people believe. But, in actuality, they are not practically true. Under-mentioned are some of the clothing washing myths:

• It is said that more soap should be used for cleaning clothes better. In actuality, you should be aware of the amount of soap to be used as it may not rinse properly.

• Another myth is that jeans and dryers do not mix. In this, the jeans may loosen or get tighter as kept on the loose or shrink side of dryers. 

• By washing the jeans, all the bacteria gets killed. Actually, some of the bacteria get killed with body heat or drying in the sun.

• Lint might not be an issue in washing clothes is another myth as you should be careful about it. This one has the tendency to reduce the efficiency of the dryer.

• Putting detergent and bleach at the same time is fine. While, it is not because you should always put bleach after 5 minutes of using detergent to avoid negative reaction to the enzymes.

• Another one of the laundry myths is that hair sprays have the tendency to remove ink spots.

• Certainly, washing jeans quite often like other clothes is a myth too. It is mandatory to wash jeans after 3 to 4 wears.

• Washing the t-shirt after every wear is definitely a myth. It is better to wash them after 2 or 3 wears as it will increase the life of the cloth.

• Yet another clothing washing myth is that the clothes meant for hand-washing have to be cleaned in the same way. But, in actuality, setting the washing cycle to “cold wash” can resolve the problem without a doubt.
