My Approach

I recognise that it takes courage to seek therapy and I offer a warm welcome to help people feel comfortable and at ease.

When I first meet with someone, we begin to explore what it is they are wanting help with and we agree a way of working together.

Sessions are held weekly and last fifty minutes. It can be helpful to meet at the same time and same day each week. However, if you have commitments that might make this difficult, I can usually be flexible.

The therapeutic relationship offers a unique opportunity to look at your issues in a particular environment, which is accepting and non-judgemental, a space to slow down and reflect, so that new awareness and insights can emerge. I offer a mindful presence, gently noticing what is being experienced in the room.

My core training is as an Integrative Counsellor, employing a humanistic and person centred approach.
