DRESS REHEARSAL FAQ

When is dress rehearsal?

Dress rehearsal is on Friday, May 17.  Attendance is mandatory.

What time should we arrive to dress rehearsal?

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of dress rehearsal.  If your dancer is in one of the first 3 dances, they should be dressed in costume with hair done, ready to go!

Where is dress rehearsal?

Dress rehearsal is at UW-Platteville's Center for the Arts Brodbeck Concert Hall.

What should my dancer wear?

Your dancer should wear their recital costume with appropriate tights and dance shoes along with any costume accessories or hair accessories.

Does my dancer need recital hair?

Yes, recital hair is required for dress rehearsal!

Does my dancer need recital makeup?

No, recital makeup is not required for dress rehearsal.

What is the flow of dress rehearsal?

The finale, with the entire studio, will run first followed by the entire show from beginning to end in order.   Street clothes are fine to wear for the finale practice unless your dancer is in one of the first three dances.

Please be aware of when your dancer is about to dance and send them to the stage three numbers ahead of their number.  You are in charge of your dancer backstage and making sure you bring them backstage three numbers before theirs.  You may watch the show and step out to help your dancer change and line up.

Do the dancers have to stay for the whole dress rehearsal?

Dancers are not required to stay for the entire dress rehearsal, but are encouraged to watch from the audience once they have finished all of their dances.  However, this is your dancer's chance to watch the show as they will need to stay backstage during the performances on Saturday and Sunday.
