HIGH OR LOW CURLY BUN WITH NO PART
Make a ponytail with no part where you want your bun to sit. The ponytail for a high curly bun should be high enough to be seen from the front.
Twist your hair around the base of your ponytail to form the main bun.
Secure everything in place with bobby pins.
Attach fake curly hair (if using) securely around the bun with bobby pins. Fake hair MUST NOT fall out!
HIGH CURLY PONYTAIL
Pull hair up into a high ponytail with no part.
Ponytail should be high enough to see from the front.
Secure with a ponytail holder that matches the hair color.
Attach fake ponytail (if using) securely on top of the existing ponytail. Fake hair MUST NOT fall out!
Hairspray all hair back so there are no flyaways.
Low Curly Bun with Middle Part
LOW CURLY BUN WITH MIDDLE PART
Make a low ponytail with a straight middle part where you want your bun to sit.
Twist your hair around the base of your ponytail to form the main bun.
Secure everything in place with bobby pins.
Attach fake curly hair (if using) securely around the bun with bobby pins. Fake hair MUST NOT fall out!
Low Straight Ponytail
LOW STRAIGHT PONYTAIL WITH MIDDLE PART
Make a low ponytail with a straight middle part.
Secure with a ponytail holder that matches the hair color.
Use a straightener to make sure there are no waves.
Hairspray all hair back so there are no flyaways.
In order for each dance to look uniform, the dancers’ hair must be the same. Check the costume information card for the hairstyle required for your dancer.
Fake curly buns & curly ponytails are highly recommended! They keep their shape, are easy to attach and hold up in humidity. Stay away from any sort of Velcro as it doesn't stay in place!

All dancers will need to wear makeup for picture day, the dress rehearsal and the recitals. This will make their beautiful faces stand out on stage and not be washed out by the lights.
All girls should wear the following:
Pink blush
Matte burgundy smokey eye
Black eyeliner (optional for young dancers)
Black mascara
Red lipstick
