Hopewell Crest Chromebook Insurance Program
Hopewell Crest is offering families the ability to purchase insurance against accidental damage, destruction, loss and/or theft of the Chromebook(s). You may opt into the program by paying $40 per Chromebook. By opting into the program, Hopewell Crest will cover the cost of repairing or replacing a damaged, destroyed, lost or stolen Chromebook during the 2022-2023 school year without any additional out of pocket cost to your family. Insurance covers Accidental Damage, Liquid Damage, Theft, Burglary, Robbery, Vandalism, Natural Disasters, and Power Surges due to Lighting.
How much will my child be required to use the Chromebook?
Students in grades 6 through 8 will be required to use the Chromebook daily and transport their Chromebooks to and from school as their assignments and textbooks require the use of a Chromebook.
Students in grades 2 through 5 will use the Chromebook often but will not be required to take them home every night. They will however have some assignments where they will need to transport the Chromebook to and from school.
Do I need to purchase Chromebook Insurance?
The decision is entirely up to you. The program is an opt in program.
