The Danish Oldenborg (OLH) is NOT the same breed as the German Oldenburg (GOV). The German horse has been crossed with many breeds to produce a different type of warmblood sport horse. The Danish horse comes from pure Oldenburg stock and the only outcross allowed is to Thoroughbreds. Horses entered in the studbook as "refined" must have at least 25% Danish Oldenborg blood. Individuals entered in the studbook as "purebred" must have 87.5-100% Danish Oldenborg bloodlines. Predominant colors are black and brown. Grey and chestnut are rare. Danish Sport Pony
A good, uniform riding pony developed mainly for use as a child's competition mount. British ponies are used as a base. Three categories divide the ponies according to height. Category 1 - up to 14.2 h.h., Category 2 - up to 13.2 h.h. and Category 3 up to 12.2 h.h. Dølehest (Døle-Gudbrandsdal, Gudbrandsdal)
The Døle horse, from Norway, is one of the smallest cold bloods. Døles are known for their excellent trot, strength, agility and stamina. Døle horses are found in two types, a heavy work horse used for agricultural work and timber hauling and a light draft horse, the cold-blooded trotter, used for harness racing. It is very common to interbreed the types. The Døle horse was an influential breed in the formation of the North Swedish Horse. Bay or brown predominates but black and chestnut are also common. Grey and dun are rare.

Finnish Universal Horse (Finnhorse)
Only breed fully developed in Finland. The Finnhorse is considered one of the fastest and most versatile of the "coldblood" breeds. Four sections included in registry are the: Draft - T (oldest of the types and quite rare), Trotter -J (the lightest, used for harness racing), Riding - R (good all-purpose mount gaining in popularity) and Pony-sized -P (rarest, it is still considered a "horse"). Horses average 15.1 hh while the pony-type must measure no more the 14.2 - 1/2 hh. 90% of Finnhorses are chestnut. The smallest of the Norwegian breeds, the Nordland is a tough and versatile pony. Nordlands are strong enough to carry an adult and are suitable for all riding and driving disciplines, as well as pony trotting and packing. North Swedish (Nordsvensk Brukshäst)
The North Swedish is a medium sized draft horse, closely related to the Norwegian Dølehest. There is the heavier draft type, which is still used for forestry work and the lighter trotter, used in harness racing. The North Swedish Horse is active, tough and long lived. Any solid color is allowed.

Norwegian Fjord (Fjordhest)
In keeping with NFHR standards, I do not allow my Fjords to crossbreed. Also, a horse may not show up more than once in the first 3 generations. Please name your foal using a Norwegian or Nordic inspired name. 90% of all Fjords are brown dun. The other 10% are red dun, grey dun (grullo), white dun ("uls" dun), yellow dun or kvit (perlino dun, cremello dun, and smokey black dun). Yellow dun and kvit are extremely rare.

Swedish Ardenner (Svenska Ardennerhästen)
The Swedish Ardenner was created to develop a heavier horse than the native Swedish horses. Farming's popularity grew in Sweden in the late 1800s requiring horses to do heavier work than the native country horse could handle. Many draft breeds were tested to provide more mass and strength to the domestic horses. Ultimately, the Ardenner was found to be the most suitable. Imports began in 1873, by 1880 most parts of south and central Sweden had imported or crossed Ardenner in use and the Studbook was formed in 1901. By the 1920's, the Swedish Ardenner differed so much from its European counterpart that it was considered it own distinguished breed. Colors are bay, chestnut, black, and roan. Grey and palomino are less common.
