Common iPAD issues
(a) iPad is disabled due to Passcode lock (with/without WIFI connection)
DO NOT attempt more than 2 tries if you have forgotten your passcode.
If iPad is disabled, DO NOT restart your iPad as it will prolong the time before the next try.
Bring your iPad to Comp Lab 3 for ICT staff to do a reset.
All data will be lost if it was not backed up to iCloud or other cloud storage.
Sign in to School Apple ID once the iPad has been restored
(b) iPad’s Keyboard is not working
Student may try to remove the iPad from the keyboard and slot the iPad back in properly
Student may also try to restart the iPad.
Student may try the keyboard on another iPad to confirm if the keyboard is faulty
Once confirmed, you may bring the faulty keyboard to Computer Lab 3 for a replacement from vendor.
(h) iPad seems to be laggy
Do a hard reset of the iPad by pressing the top power button and Home button together for about 5 secs until the Apple logo appears.
(i) Lost iPad
For a lost iPad, please report to the ICT staff at Comp Lab 3 so they can provide you with the serial numbers of the iPad and/or Apple Pencil.
Additionally, inform your Form Teacher (FT) to help check with other students in the class.
Make sure to thoroughly search all the classrooms you've been to, including checking inside cabinets and under the tables.
Seek your parent’s assistance to make a police report as soon as possible and provide the details including the serial numbers.
Do inform ICT staff if it has been found.
Otherwise, you may choose to get a new iPad from school using Edusave if there is sufficient amount.
