Paint Where There Ain’t: The Ewa Beach Drive-in Theater

The Ewa Beach Drive-in Project proposes high school students create a cinema under the stars in Ewa Beach. It will be established, curated, and operated solely by students—with the purpose of teaching many more skills than just making movies. Movies have the incredible potential to teach anything—from storytelling to entrepreneurship; cinematography to culinary arts; cosmetics to mechanical engineering; and this project will encompass the whole gamut. The Ewa Beach Drive-in Theater will translate classroom skills into marketplace assets by exposing students to the complexities of film as art, history, and industry.
