Pi'ikea Kalakau-Baarde

Pi'ikea is a resource teacher in the Nānākuli-Waiʻanae Complex Area. She focuses on authentic teaching & learning, so she is always looking for innovative ways to partner with community members/organizations, capture learning, and engage learners. When she is not working (or commuting to work!) along the beautiful Waiʻanae coast, she is spending time with my family, shopping or at the beach.

“Getting unrul-y: Capturing Learning to Engage Learners”

In the age of widespread distance teaching and learning, educators must design learning experiences for students that are clear, engaging and flexible. Students and teachers must reimagine what synchronous learning looks like to take advantage of asynchronous engagement opportunities and the benefits they provide.

Reimagine education by utilizing the UnRulr app for sharing student learning (process and products), authentic assessments, feedback, goal tracking and more.
