HOLY ANGEL UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF EDUCATION STUDENT COUNCIL
School of education DAYS
SIKLUBAN, short for ‘meto sikluban banua’, represent the universe or all that is contained under the vault or mantle of the sky. For us, Kapampangans, it must be noted that our ancestors saw the sky as a sphere sheltering the world like a gigantic pot or jar cover. Hence, the night where darkness prevails necessitate celestial bodies like stars (batuin) to light the world.
In the present times, as darkness prevails because of the still-existing pandemic and the other problems that the world faces, we believe in the brightness that our educators can provide to the suffering society. Aside from being our batuin, the educators as primary pillars of the society, serve as rays of hope to light the path of others in these dark times. Hence, the School of Education Days 2021 will be conducted under the theme, ‘SIKLUBAN: Educators as the Universe’ Rays of Hope.’ This will be a platform where hope will be rekindled, love will be spread, and unity to achieve the common good will be advocated by and for the future teachers.
