NA'NG PISASABYAN?
To instill campus awareness and social consciousness among Eduk students, the Committee on Sociopolitical Affairs of the HAU School of Education College Student Council presents ‘NA’NG PISASABYAN?’. This will serve as the Council’s platform in tackling sociopolitical issues and noteworthy updates on education, inclusion, sustainable development, and Kapampangan language, culture, and heritage. Incorporated in the owl design of this program are speech bubbles; these symbolize our aim of fueling relevant discussions to allow the students to process information rather than simply receiving it.
In a recent Senate plenary session, Sen. Win Gatchalian, chairman of the Committee on Basic Education, Arts, and Culture, said that a provision requiring would-be teachers to take a qualifying examination will be added to Senate Bill no. 2152 or the Teacher Education Excellence Act. Gatchalian expressed that this was based on the inputs of the resource persons during the committee hearings for this bill. They are expecting that the inclusion of this provision will ensure that the teaching profession will only accept the most qualified or “best of the best” high school graduates.
