COUNCIL HEAD OFFICES
Kasundu members of the Office of the Chairperson will assist Mr. Cortez in his leadership operations, both constitutional and ad hoc, for the SEd studentry. They shall help the Chairperson in serving and embodying the united and genuine interest of the studentry. The same office shall lead the External Affairs Cluster of the council, including the Academics and Research Committee and Committee for Civic Engagement; the office shall also lead, together with the Internal Affairs Cluster, the Communications, Multimedia Arts and Creatives, Human Resources, and Legal and Grievance Committee.
The Kasundu members in the Office of the Vice-Chairperson shall be with Ma’am Liwanag in acting as the quality assurance specialist of all council operations. They will assist the Vice-Chairperson in the monitoring and evaluation processes and the proposal of measures with the goal of correcting or improving the council’s processes or products to meet established quality standards. The same office is the head of the Internal Affairs Cluster of the council where the Committee on Financial Management, Human Resources Committee, and the Committee on Facilities and Logistics are included. In addition, there is joint leadership with the External Affairs Cluster (headed by the Chairperson) in the following committees; Communications Committee and the Multimedia Arts and Creatives Committee.
CONSTITUTIONAL COMMITTEES
The Communication and Creatives Division is consisting of two committees- Communication Committee and Multimedia Arts and Creatives Committee. Both committees are always working together thus, this division was created. The Communication Committee is assigned as the COUNCIL SECRETARY. We are task to take good care of the council's records, for captioning the publicity materials from the MAC Committee, and the like. The MAC Committee on the hand is assigned for every publicity materials needed. May it be posters, videos, and any visual related things. Together, this division must maintain this Official Website of the CSC.
This committee is a group that works to promote and foster love and service for others. Its main goal is to create programs that will address the issues affecting the wellbeing of the community. This committee will engage every student to participate in all the activities and work collaboratively in helping the community.
This committee is assigned to be the custodian of the proposed activities for the academic concerns and develop and maintain a vision for educational growth of the students. This shall also monitor the academic experience and facilitate events that are academic in nature. In addition, the committee must serve as the custodian of surveys or any form of data gathering and studies concerning matters under the scope of the council operations. In addition, the same committee shall propose ways on how to improve the board exam performance of the SEd studentry.
The Legal and Grievance Committee attends to the concerns of the students and handles issues happening within the School of Education. LAGCOMM also observes whether the students are treated fairly and that the students are not deprived of their rights. In this committee, we learn to value the power of listening and lending a hand to our fellow teacher education students so that we may ease their burden and be the light at the end of their tunnels.
The Financial Management Committee and the Facilities and Logistics committee has been merged into one functioning Finance, Facilities, and Logistics Management Division. The Financial Committee of the council is focused on providing the studentry with financial transparency and analysis of the council budget. The second committee supervises the auditing, distribution, and storage of supplies and materials used in the council work.
Whenever there are activities in school, don’t we prefer doing it by group? It is so fun to brainstorm with your classmates, do activities altogether because just like what they say, teamwork makes the dream work! Join us here in the office of the Human Resources Committee if you also love to do team building! Here, the Kasundu will help the Head in monitoring and observing the council members and the Kasundu members. They will help their head to improve the skills of everyone so that they can serve the students more effectively. We want the best for the students that is why we will upskill and reskill great leaders for them!
AD HOC COMMITTEE
The Health and Wellbeing Division is divided into two committees, Physical and Social Health and Mental and Spiritual Health. Physical and Social Health is focused on providing quality information to the students regarding their physical health-being. The Physical and Social Health committee aims to encourage students to bring themselves in a physically healthy way and develop important social skills that are essential in the field of education.
Mental and Spiritual aim to provide factual information and advocates the importance of mental health to the students and Embodying Christ-centeredness which is a core value of the university.
As student leaders, we will continue to serve and support the students who need a helping hand. We will lead the students towards the road to success and achievement. The Committee on Student Support Services shall focus on the council operations which aim to guide students towards being directed, focused, nurtured, engaged, connected, and valued. Members of this committee shall serve as the custodian of council services that aim to support students in coping and adjusting to the most recent dramatic change in the educational landscape.
This committee shall ensure that the council embraces all people regardless of their gender orientation, disability, race, and other more unique qualities a person has. The committee shall aim for the promotion of an equal and inclusive atmosphere where no one is discriminated against and left behind. The same committee shall advocate for the creation, implementation and sustainment of safe spaces, especially with regard to the online setting. This shall be the office in charge of giving light to inclusive education, which UNICEF defined as the kind of education that “allows students of all backgrounds to learn and grow side by side, to the benefit of all”
The Committee of Sustainable Development needs the powerful minds of Kasundu members in order to share their ideas in preserving nature. They will help the Committee Head to operate the different programs/projects in order to encourage individuals to promote sustainability of the environment while meeting the people’s needs using their leadership capability. When we can serve people, we can also serve our nature.
This committee shall promote, initiate, and participate in activities that are intended to advocate for the Kapampangan arts, culture, and heritage. Nananu ta pa? Tara na qng Committee on Arts, Culture, and Heritage!
In our team, we still believe in what Dr.Jose Rizal said that “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan '' That is why our team needs you! The sociopolitical affairs committee needs members in order to help students with all political and social matters. Kasundu members will help the committee head to operate different events like commemoration of holidays in remembering important events of our nation. Lagi’t-lagi para sa bata, para sa bayan!
