Mason's birthday parties are always a blast! We love to choose a fun theme each year, such as Cars, Mickey Mouse, Elmo, or Thomas the Train, and decorate the house accordingly. It's always so exciting to see the look on his face when he walks into the party and sees all the decorations.
We always invite all of our family and friends to the party, and it becomes a big celebration with lots of food, drinks, and games. Mason gets to open his presents, blow out the candles on his cake, and play with all of his new toys. It's such a special day for him, and we love to make it as memorable as possible.
When we have a future child, we will definitely continue this tradition. We will choose a fun theme that our child loves and decorate the house together. We will also invite all of our family and friends to celebrate with us. It will be a special day for our new addition to the family, and we can't wait to make it as memorable as Mason's parties.
Our family cabin in Pine, Arizona is one of our favorite places to be. It's been in my family for almost 30 years, and I have so many fond memories of spending time there with my grandparents, parents, brother, and now my own family. I remember going there as a child, and now I get to take my own family there.
The cabin is nestled in the beautiful pine trees, and it's so peaceful and quiet there. We love to spend our time hiking and exploring the area around the cabin. There are so many great trails to explore, and we always have a blast finding new adventures. One of our favorite things to do at the cabin is to spend time on the large deck. It's the perfect spot to sit and watch the wildlife. We've seen racoons, deer, and a lot of elk! Mason loves watching the animals and pointing out everything he sees. We love going in the summer to cool off. We love doing art on the deck and we eat dinner outside almost every night.
The cabin is also the perfect place to disconnect from technology and just enjoy each other's company. We play board games, read books, and tell stories around the fireplace. It's a great way to bond as a family and create memories that will last a lifetime. We love when our entire family gets to go to the cabin. It is rare that all of us get to go, but we try to all be there after Christmas, fourth of July, and any other random events. It is one of my favorite times together.
When it comes to including future children in our cabin traditions, we can't wait to share all the fun with them. We'll take them on hikes, teach them how to play games, and show them the beauty of nature. We know they'll love it just as much as we do. And who knows, maybe one day they'll even bring their own families to the cabin and continue the tradition.
Every 4th of July, we pack up our bags and head to our family cabin in Pine, Arizona after going to the festival in our neighborhood. It's a tradition we started years ago, and we look forward to it every year. The cabin is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by pine trees, and the air is so fresh and crisp. We love spending time there with the whole family, especially for the 4th of July festivities.
During the weekend of 4th of July, Pine hosts a small craft show. We always try to go to that and support the local small businesses. Plus it is so fun to get out and see the town. We also enjoy going on adventures in the nearby towns like Strawberry, visit local shops, and eat ice cream at the local ice cream shop.
On the evening of the 4th, we usually drive to Payson to watch the fireworks display. It's always a beautiful sight, and we love seeing the colors light up the night sky. After the show, we head back to the cabin and spend the rest of the night roasting playing games and watching movies.
As for future children, we would love to include them in our 4th of July traditions. We can imagine them running around the cabin, playing with their cousins, and watching the fireworks with wonder in their eyes. We hope to continue this tradition for many years to come and create lasting memories with our family.
Every July we spend time at Lake Havasu with all of Adam's family. This has been a tradition of the family since his dad was a child. It is one of our favorite times a year spending time with cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. We usually rent a house with Adam's parents and his cousin Jackie, her husband Frank. We always have such a great time with Adam's side of the family there. Mason loves playing with his cousins and going on the boat with his aunts and uncles.
We usually spend a week or so there during the summer. The first day, we settle into our rental house and spend time catching up with everyone. Then, we spend a lot of time on the boat, which is always a blast. We take turns in the water, swimming, tanning, and boating and Mason loves to just sit on the boat and feel the wind in his hair. We also spend a day or two just hanging out at the rental house to recover from the sun, Mason loves those days since we go to the covered pool and play games all day.
One of our favorite things to do is to go out to the sandbar in the middle of the lake. It's a shallow area where you can anchor your boat and everyone can swim, play, and relax. We always bring a lot of food and drinks, and we spend hours just hanging out and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
At night, we usually have a big family dinner at one of the campsites. Some of the family bring RVs and other rent houses or stay in the hotel. When we aren't on the water we spend time playing games or watching movies. And one night, we always go to the London Bridge to see the light show and fireworks display.
As for including future children in the traditions, we'll definitely keep going to Lake Havasu with them! We can't wait to see Mason teach his younger siblings how to swim, jump off the rafts, and and to watch them all have fun playing on the boat. We'll make sure to keep the traditions alive for generations to come!
