Heritage Park in Cleveland is a historic site situated along the Cuyahoga River, adjacent to Canal Basin Park. It features a replica of the Lorenzo Carter log cabin, commemorating the city's first permanent non-Indigenous settler. In 2014, the park became part of Cleveland Metroparks' Lakefront Reservation, enhancing its accessibility and amenities. Recent upgrades include 12 day-use boat slips, the only publicly accessible ones along the six-mile ship channel on the Cuyahoga River, offering boaters unique access to Cleveland's riverfront trails and restaurants. The park also serves as a bird-watching hotspot, hosting over 50 species of birds, and provides limited parking on Riverbed Street and Elm Avenue.
