Our Laboratory is with the department of Robotics Engineering at Yeungnam University.
At HANDS Lab, we explore next-generation technologies spanning dexterous robotic hands, Physical AI, wearable robots, and soft robotics to enhance human capabilities. We focus on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of mechanical intelligence and embodied AI. Our main research areas include: 

• Dexterous Robot Hands & Adaptive Grippers
  Development of anthropomorphic robotic hands and adaptive grippers with flexure-based compliant joints, variable stiffness, and active friction modulation.

• Physical AI & Embodied Intelligence
  Reinforcement learning for manipulation and dexterous hand control, Isaac Sim-based digital twins with sim-to-real transfer, Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, visual navigation, and aerial manipulation.

• Wearable Robots for Human Augmentation
  Design of assistive and augmentative wearable robotic systems — including supernumerary robotic fingers and soft exo-gloves — driven by EMG-based bio-signal interfaces.

• Soft Actuators & Bioinspired Mechanisms
  Exploration of pneumatic soft actuators and bioinspired compliant mechanisms for adaptive, safe, and forceful interaction.

• Soft Tactile Sensing & Contact Intelligence
  Development of soft tactile sensors for slip detection and multi-axis force measurement, integrated directly into robotic joints for contact-intelligent manipulation.
