Hearts of Iron is a wargame at its core but mods like Millennium Dawn have allowed it to become something much more. I love this mod and all the others because they allow a depth of geopolitics and diplomatic simulation that is simply not to be found anywhere else. Many folks know what roleplaying games are. They take a regular game of hoi4 and add layers of diplomacy, cooperation, storytelling, and acting to allow a player to feel like they are truly leading their nation with the fate of its’ people on the line. Mods like these are naturally slow in multiplayer but that will allow for a heavier focus on diplomacy and roleplay. We are going to put together games that will be played over the course of several sessions since it will take a lot of time to do properly. Several coops are allowed and encouraged for majors. A yearly United Nations session will be utilized to give speeches and make deals with other nations and blocs. Don’t be afraid to join due to a lack of game or mod knowledge as we will provide learning tools for both.

Where can I see upcoming games?
You can either check the monthly schedule in the event schedule channel at the top of the discord or check the server events directly.
How do I join a game?
Look at the event list to find an upcoming game you want to join. Get a role pertaining to the game type in the #roles channel and look for a signup channel. There should be a list of countries/characters available though it is not always updated. Find something you are eligible for as some require certain RP ranks and request it in the signup channel. If you need help DM the person who posted the list of countries/nations
How do I reserve?
Most games will follow a simple system where a list of playable countries/characters is posted. You then look through what is available taking into account any possible rank restriction and pick 4 you would like to play. Once this is determined fill out the Signup Form found to the right.

Once every Session, during the Rehost a United Nations meeting will be held. The way it will operate is starting with speeches from any nation that wishes to speak. On whatever topic is relevant to them.

After this is concluded nations will be able to go into individual VC’s to discuss policy and proposals whilst separately a security council meeting is held with members of the council

Following the Security Council meeting a public statement will be made by a chosen representative to make a statement of any agreed upon affirmations or specific actions they plan on taking. After this is concluded nations will reconvene in VC to go through the process of proposing legislation and agreements before the UN body. This will be done by simple majority for ease on time.

Agreements made here as well as passed legislation is not totally binding as nations are of course able to ignore the UN. But please only do so for legitimate RP reasons because international relations and the UN’s influence make most nations unwilling to ignore them unless they are very powerful.

The Security Council is expected to meet two sometimes conflicting requirements: first, to make decisions that will ensure prompt and effective action to maintain international peace and security; and second, to gain the support of the wider United Nations membership for such Security Council decisions to be carried out. Enhancing the transparency, efficiency and inclusiveness of the working methods of the Security Council through meeting these requirements is crucial to the effective functioning of the Council.

Rotating Members
Before every session, we will spin a wheel for each region. A person will be randomly picked, and will represent their region as a rotating member. Once a player has been a member, they are removed from the Wheel to ensure that everybody has a chance to be a rotating member throughout the Season. UN meetings happen every session at least once during the mid-session re-host.

We have realized that we are able to apply national spirits to any country which opens up a number of interesting RP options. EU membership spirit or G7 member can be added, or things like USAID or space research. If it is a spirit in the game it can be given to a country which is great for incentivizing good RP. If you do good RP that would suggest one of these might be given you are welcome to ask for it in save edits, though there is no certainty it will be granted. Better RP will increase the likelihood.
This is also used to fix major bugs, AI issues, or to help your country if you get in a bad spot.

Awards are given out for each game to players who excel in quality
Diplomat - Do fantastic in character RP while in VC's or through letters and the like in statements
Storyteller - Create an intricate and detailed story and narrative thruoghout the game. This can be as simple as a journalist in your country covering major political upheaveals or as dramatic as the story of your countries fall to despotism. The subject does not matter, only quality of RP and presentation.
The Anchor - Your RP is one of reasonable moderation. You can do fantastic RP and still steer the course forward. In a sea of chaos and changing values you keep the course steady for you country and RP the definition of reasonableness

Once you have joined Imperia Roleplay's Discord, simply go to #roles, and select the Millennium Dawn Role. Once you can see all the Millennium Dawn channels, travel to md-campaign-information where you can find the Sign-up form, as well as all assigned nations.
While on this website, you can also use the Signup Form Hyperlinked above to sign up for the current game, but don't forget to grab the Millennium Dawn role in the Discord to see the News Channels!
