Why Ishtar?
I have weird opinion about Ishtar - I used to like it a lot, then used to hate it, now I love it again. Just like it's shields, goes to opposites ends quickly :D I started running Gammas in Ishtar, but my cheap fit was too unreliable - after 25 runs I didn't find it fun anymore. I wanted to switch to Vaga, but I tried slightly more expensive variant - and it's great. So I decided to keep it, to still have Drone boat in hangar (I won't fly Gila in Abyss)
Additional word of caution: I did tests of them with max or close to max skills. These fits aren't made with new pilots in mind and will require good skills. It's also not 100% finished, but I consider it good enough for now :)

My thoughts:
It's fun! I copied the fit as is, and it doesn't need any tweaks :) I just changed drones to EX ones
No implants or drugs necessary, drones don't really die - you'll have fun
ADC was useful couple of times, but you could pilot better than me ;) It's nice to have it though.
Several runs in, seems good :) It was voted to be upgraded to T5s, so I did exactly that.

Kinda works?
Not many runs done. The ones that I did - was tight on time
I would really prefer T6 setup with Gist booster, but that's about 4B - not in line with my idea for cheap T5 runner ;)
Wasps for Ephialteses, they have low resists so penalty kinda doesn't apply
Tank is solid, although at some waves it might be tight - we will see
I fully expect it to die, afterwards it will get replaces
By Vagabond or (more likely) Cerberus :)
Update:
In the end I swapped from Autocannons to Arty - more range is better than more DPS that you cannot utilize

That's a good one :)
Extra DDA and Tracking Enhancer make it work way better - now it doesn't struggle with time at all
I know that it's basically T6 setup, but since it's 1.5B overall - I don't think it's excessive for T5s
I opted for Gist X and T2 Hardener, as that was the economical option - tank is very sufficient in most T5 rooms ;)
I am actively (at the time of writing) recording runs on tracker, check it out
YouTube video will come ;)
How to fly it?
Much better guide than mine is available on Arak's EVE Nomad website - https://evenomad.com/t6-abyss-ishtar/ - I cannot even compete :)
Three flights of drones:
Navy Berserkers - your main flight. Used against almost any spawn, can sustain a bit of incoming damage, and maybe one Deviant Automata Suppressor - treat them well, they'll return the favour :)
T2 Berserkers - big DPS. Send them against Battleships if there's no threat to them
Navy Wasps - big shields, a bit more DPS. Used against Tesseras (becasue Tesseras won't kill them) and Ephialtes spam wave - because they have a bit more DPS, and Ephis low resists. They also do not care about Deviant Automata Supressors, so if there's few of them - Wasps are correct choice.
Turn off "Focus Fire" drone setting:
Whenever there are single threats you want to remove quickly - like Vedmaks for example - send drones manually
After you remove big threats, and only small stuff remains - you might want to spread out your drones, either manually or by just letting them attack what they want
Make sure that your drones aren't attacking Deviant Automata Suppressors - they like to do it
Make sure you manually assing drones to Logi ships - like Fieldweavers or Plateforgers. Since they do not agress you, drones will not auto-attack them
Kiting is always good option, use it
Guns are only add on - Tremor being your deafult ammo. Pop the cache, shoot anything (preferably bigger stuff that doesn't rep). Load Quake if you are shooting BS and you're in orbit around them
ADC is your 'oh shit' button - three typical uses are
Your tank is breaking - you slap ADC to survive - but after 10 seconds you're back where you were, so it's limited in use that way
To regain some cap - with ADC active you don't need to rep, so your cap can recharge a bit - did become useful once or twice
When you get out of the Abyss and gankers are waiting for you - gives you 10 seconds if life more. Not guaranteed to save you though.
Ideally you shouldn't need your ADC at all, and you could replace that with DCU - for more resists all the time, but no emergency button
Tessella
Threat Level: Low
Quick Tips:
Annoying EWAR first
Don't stay inside the swarm
Blue Cloud is your friend, but not a dealbreaker to waste time
Notes: Nothing special. One of easiest spawns, can be quite annoying if you get webbed a lot. You can ignore Logi, they rep so low that it doesn't make sense to prioritize them - and they will stop when everything else is dead - just make sure you manually send your drones against them.
Tessera
Threat Level: Medium
Quick Tips:
Stay more than 15km away
If they get closer - pray? idk :P
Send Wasps, prioritize Tessera that's yellowboxing you
Notes: Will hit you hard if you let them. Don't let them :) Remove all Snarecasters as soon as possible (if there are any), and keep in mind that Sparkgrip and Blastgrip target your resist hole. Blast is the fastest -> Spark -> Strike -> Ember is the slowest - prioritze faster ones first, as they will get closer. When you are yellowboxed - it means that Tessera is now shooting one of your drones. Send all of your drones + your guns on that specific Tessera. After it's dead - your drones will have a bit of time to recharge shields, and they shouldn't really die. Worst case - recall damaged one and keep in in bay for a while.
Overmind
Threat Level: Low
Quick Tips:
Send T2 drones, more DPS is more good
T5 variant has 15km Web, stay further out.
Notes: Slowest spawn, but not really dangerous. Approach with a bit of angular, collect biocache on the way, kill EWAR frigs before you start hitting Overmind. You can use your guns, but drones are very much enough to kill it - I do prefer myself to stay close to gate, just mind your Angular.
Kikimoras
Threat Level: Medium / High
Quick Tips:
They spool up. Each Kiki can deal 210 DPS at max spool, which is a bit scary
Good EWAR priorities are crucial - Neuts, Webs if there are any
Pulling range to break the spool won't work reliably, try to kite from beginning
Notes: Surprisingly hard if you underestimate it. Don't let Kikis spool up, kill them fast. Neuts are priority, webs will be annoying too. Your drones can take few hits, but not too much - make sure you watch for enemies yellowboxing you.
Vedmaks
Threat Level: Medium / High
Quick Tips:
Best Neuters in Abyss. Absolute priority
Focus fire on them, don't let your drones spread out. Removing 1 Vedmak is much better than damaging 5 by 20%
EWAR priority stays as usual
Notes: Each Starving drains 18 GJ, which means that two of them are enough to quickly remove all your cap. Try to remove them fast, and keep ADC as your Cap saver - while ADC is active you don't need to use Shield Booster, so you might as well switch it off and let cap recharge a bit
Vila
Threat Level: Low
Quick Tips:
Ignore Swarmers completely
Priority is less important as enemies don't deal that much DPS
Vedmaks are big DPS, they get priority
Notes: Not dangerous. Start with Vedmaks (they are the only ship that has any DPS in the room), then let the drones roam. warmers may switch aggro to them, pay attention if they aren't dying - they shouldn't, but still.
Leshaks
Threat Level: Low / Medium
Quick Tips:
Kite, if you are in drone/locking range. Keep transveral up, approaching straight is bad
Renewing -> Starving -> Striking -> Tangling
Notes: Usually quite easy room, if you do not mess up your approach :) Send your drones in, kill Starvings first (you can even split drones), you should be fine. Don't be greedy, you can approach the cache when most Leshaks are dead. They have 63km range, so if you get further away than that - you'll break spool.
Lucid Sleepers / Ephialtes Sleepers / Scylla Drifters
Threat Level: Medium
Quick Tips:
Scyllas do have the same name, you need to watch "Type" column in your overview
Not very dangerous rooms - remove EWAR in standard order, shouldn't be an issue
Tend to be a bit long, but besides shooting - not much you can do about it :)
Notes: Reasonably easy room, besides lost time shouldn't casue you an issue. Firewatcher and Sentinel are Neuts with not obvious names, so pay attention to that. Webs can be annoying, so I usually remove them next.
Deepwatchers
Threat Level: Low
Quick Tips:
They will stay close to conduit, so orbiting it usually works well
Send T2 drones, shoot your gun, wait till they die
Notes: Should cause too much trouble
Karybdis Tyrannos
Threat Level: Medium
Quick Tips:
Spiral in, don't hit wall, watch out for Wrecking shots
Don't approach straight, but collect biocache on the way
Leave small stuff for the end, unless it's bad EWAR
Notes: Karen, nothing to add.
Thunderchild
Threat Level: Medium
Quick Tips:
If you see a lot of EDENCOMs - send Wasps
Notes: Not very exciting room, just shoot stuff. In rooms mixed with Concord I tend to leave Edencom stuff till the end - as they will also damage other enemy ships.
Marshal
Threat Level: Medium / High
Quick Tips:
Transversal doesn't matter, move fast - Marshals have about 70km range, so you can kite them, but not always and it's not great
Remove Webbers, as the slower you go - the more damage you get
Next priority would be Markers - more sig = more incoming DPS
Notes: If there's too many Marshals - consider heating your hardener, at least until you remove few of them. They tend to hit all at the same time, so Alpha will be considerable.
Sansha
Threat Level: Medium
Quick Tips:
Hunters will follow Knights, and Knights stay far - kite everything
While kiting, EWAR frigates will follow you - take them out first
ADC is your friend, you might need to use it
Notes: Not very hard room, but they are targeting your resist hole. Drones might get aggro, but Navy Berserks should be fine. Kite, shoot EWAR, shoot DPS - that usually does it. Don't get close to Knights if you don't have to, as they will Web and Neut you which is kinda bad.
Angels
Threat Level: Medium / High
Quick Tips:
Fury on the approach, then Cynabal -> Elite Cynabal -> Dramiel -> Elite Dramiel
Can be a bit scary, especially with plenty of Cynabals - heat early if you have to, and try to conserve your cap
Notes: Do not underestimate this room. Angels are faster than you, and they will control the range - most of the time they will sit on top of you, and you'll just have to remove them faster than your shields break ;)
