Legal Methods
Half-Life: Reign offers you a choice, a safer and legal way to make money or a dangerous and illegal way to make money. In the end, the choice is always yours and there will always be pros and cons depending on which path you decide to choose...
Citizenship
By default, each player will make a set amount of money every minute.
The amount varies depending on faction and position.
This income is an implied income, for your labour within the city and thus, is 100% legal and safe to earn.
Shop Vendor
If you happen to pick a Shop Vending role like Arms Dealer or Smuggler, then you will have access to sell weapons, food, drugs or medical supplies.
Each faction has their own unique pros and cons, and their power is usually determined by which vendors they have.
Any income a Shop Vendor makes is also 100% legal and safe to earn.
Drug Farming
A risky yet highly profitable method to generate money is to begin farming drugs.
Drugs can either be exchanged for weapons or protection, or sold directly to NPCs for instant money but are always illegal.
Money Printers
The most profitable method of making money in Half-Life: Reign is to purchase a Money Printer and generate your own income.
If found with a printer, your fate will be in the hands of those who police the city...
Smuggler // Black Market
While income made by The Smuggler or Black Market Dealer is legal, the items they sell are illegal to own.
Players with a keen eye could report you and your position would be compromised as an Illegal Vendor.
Money Printers in Depth
To begin, purchase a Money Printer from the F4 Menu under 'General Store'.
Once placed down, purchase Printer Paper and use your Gravity Gun to put the paper inside the printer.
When you have enough money, purchase Printer Stamps to increase the money yield.
Illegal Merchant
The Illegal Merchant NPC can be found in the central most part of the sewers.
Purchase boosters from them to overclock your Money Printer and boost your income.
Printer parts must be carried with a Gravity Gun back to your base so, avoid any Overwatch Patrols on your way back to safety.
Printer Boosters
The Speed Booster once installed by holding it over your printer will boost production speed and has a limit of 3x speed.
The Storage Booster will increase the amount of money stored in a printer and has a limit of 8 uses.
Printer Location
Despite being illegal, you will still need to keep your Money Printers within a premisis you, or your faction owns.
Placing it outside or in an area you don't own is considered FailRP can can be reported.
Drug Farming in Depth
To begin farming drugs, purchase your desired drug farm from the F4 Menu under 'Supplies'.
You can buy unrefied or raw drug materials from Drug Dealers and Junkies.
Process drugs and sell to NPC for instant cash or trade with players for goods or services.
Buyer NPCs
Spread all across the city you will find Drug Buyer NPCs willing to instantly exchange your drugs for money.
This is the safest way to generate an income from drug farming, just don't get caught.
Drug Trading
Once you've created a successful drug farm, you will have the option of instantly selling your drugs or trading them.
Trades are a player controlled crypto like currency that not everyone will accept.
Most popular, but not limited to the Outlaws faction is the option to trade drugs for safety, weapons or other goods / services...
Drug Production
Meth or Cocaine are similar processes. You will need to buy a station from the F4 Menu's Shop and source a Drug Dealer or Junkie for the starter drugs.
From there, use your Gravity Gun to interact with the drug farms and avoid their 1% chance to fail during production.
Drug Farms must be placed within a premisis you, or your faction owns or it's considered FailRP can can be reported.
