Platform Establishing
We created a dedicated Instagram account under the handle @sevenhalals to serve as the main communication channel for our campaign. This platform was chosen for its popularity among youth and its visual nature, which supports both informative and interactive content.
Planning, Designing and Posting Content
Our main goals were to raise awareness about halal product verification and promote the use of the Verify Halal app. The content was designed to be educational, engaging, and relatable, targeting tech-savvy users who are active on social media. Using tools such as Canva and CapCut, we created visually appealing posts that were consistent with our campaign theme. All content was shared through our social media account, accompanied by relevant captions, hashtags, and engaging visuals to maximize outreach. Hence, we developed a content plan that included three main types of posts:
Tutorial videos on how to use the Verify Halal app.
Interactive Instagram Stories featuring posters and app demos to encourage engagement
Educational carousels explaining about halal issues
Promotional and Engagement with the Audience
Each post was strategically linked to a specific feature of the Verify Halal app, such as searching for products, scanning barcodes, and viewing product history. We ensured that viewers could easily understand the app's functions and benefits. We utilized Instagram’s interactive features (polls, question boxes, and DMs) to connect with followers and gather feedback. This not only increased engagement but also helped us understand public perception of halal verification tools. We monitored likes, views, and interactions to evaluate which content formats performed best. The step-by-step app tutorial reel gained the highest engagement, indicating strong interest in practical guides.
