In today's globalized and fast-paced world, halal is more than just a religious obligation. It embodies cleanliness, safety, transparency, and ethical principles. However, many consumers, particularly the younger generation, are unaware of how to check halal status or recognize the significance of halal compliance in their everyday life. With the expanding presence of imported and processed goods, as well as rising incidences of food fraud, accurate and accessible halal verification is more important than ever.
This motivated our group to develop a halal awareness campaign utilizing the Verify Halal app. Our mission is to provide the public with tools and information to help them make educated decisions and become responsible consumers.
CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES
This campaign was created to educate the public on the need of halal verification and to encourage the use of the Verify Halal application, which allows users to swiftly and confidently check the halal status of products. By doing so, we hope to bridge the gap between knowledge and everyday practice, encouraging individuals to take small steps like scanning products before purchasing as part of a bigger effort to promote halal ideals.
In addition to promoting the app, our group prioritized public involvement. We contacted genuine users, introduced them to the software, solicited comments, and promoted its usage in ordinary purchasing activities. This practical approach ensured that the advertising was both instructive and directly beneficial.

OUR CAMPAIGN JOURNEY
Our project ran from Week 2 to Week 14, with weekly progress updates and ongoing engagement among team members. In Weeks 2 and 3, we started by discussing early ideas, deciding on our campaign emphasis, and assigning responsibilities to each member depending on their positions. We also began recording our efforts in weekly reports so that we could clearly track our progress and keep on target. In Weeks 4 and 5, our group evaluated the Verify Halal app and analyzed product ingredients using the official halal PDF database to better understand how the program operates and what kind of information it offers users.
From Week 6 to Week 9, our team created and shared social media content to promote the Verify Halal app and improve public awareness about the significance of halal verification. Each member contributed by designing visual assets, writing captions, and ensuring that our campaign message reached its intended audience. We conducted public engagement activities from Week 10 to Week 12, demonstrating how to use the app and collecting feedback from users to better understand their experiences and opinions. These sessions allowed us to assess the effectiveness of our outreach.
In the latter stages, between Weeks 13 and 14, we combined all campaign materials, including visuals, comments, weekly reports, and individual reflections, into a single e-portfolio. This final result illustrated our campaign's whole journey from start to end, emphasizing our dedication to raising halal awareness through both digital and community-based initiatives.
