Over this past weekend, nearly 100 students and recent alumni participated in Hack for Black Lives and created some incredible projects that we’d like to share with you all. Hack for Black Lives is a nontraditional hackathon where participants created projects across all disciplines, not just tech, to support black communities and combat the overt and systemic racism that they face.
From 6:00 - 7:15 PM PST we will host a project showcase to allow participants to share their projects with one another and you all, the larger 7C community! We invite all 7C students, staff, faculty, and alumni to join this showcase and hear about the amazing work done this weekend.

From 6:00 - 6:30 PM PST we will hold a Zoom Webinar for everyone in which a couple of select teams will present their projects to the whole audience with time for Q&A. You must register for this Webinar prior to the event at the link above.
After that, we will send people to the H4BL Showcase Discord Server in which each team’s video will be posted in its own channel, where viewers can watch and leave Q&A questions in the chats for each project. The Discord Server can be accessed at the link above.
We hope that connecting student participants with the larger 7C community creates an avenue for collaboration and positive and constructive feedback so that these projects can be carried to fruition and have the meaningful impact that they are capable of having.
Please reach out to Hack for Black Lives over email or social media, linked below, if you have any questions about the event, or trouble accessing it. We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday and sharing the outstanding work our participants created!
