Does your organization want to partner with Hack for Black Lives? We are still actively searching for partners to help make this hackathon the best it can be. Check out below the types of partners we are looking for, and how we envision these partnerships benefiting both our hackathon and your organization.
We are looking to partner with organizations who directly align with the Black Lives Matter movement. If your organization dedicates it self to battling the systemic racism and injustices that Black people and communities face, we would love to partner with you. Check out our descriptions below for the different levels of involvement we are looking for. For each organization we understand that involvement will look different, so if you are interested please reach out to us at hack4blacklives@gmail.com and we will get back to you to open up a discussion about how you can get involved! Furthermore, if your organization is accepting donations we are open to fundraising for your organization through our platform.
At the basic level, you can support our mission and help us advertise our event to all of your connections. In return, we can advertise your organization and your mission through our platform, so hackers can develop solutions that align with your mission.
At the All-Star level, you can provide both educational resources and educational mentors for our hackathon. This will allow you to communicate your organizations message and support projects that support it. Furthermore, we are prepared to compensate the mentors you provide.
At the MVP level, you are going over the top by potentially hosting a pre-hackathon virtual educational panel or discussion. Furthermore, you can sponsor a project category or challenge so our hackers will be further driven to hack for your organization.
We are looking to partner with organizations or corporations who may have a larger focus than specifically the Black Lives Matter movement, but still support the movement with their organizations actions and resources. These partnerships will most likely be to support our hackers during their hacking process by helping them create develop the solutions. At the MVP level, you are going over the top by providing technical or financial resources to help put H.B.L. over the top. We are looking to partner with colleges and universities who are aspiring allies for the black lives matter movement. We are hoping to inspire young adults to be the next generation of change for the Black Lives Matter movement, and colleges and universities are an extremely powerful medium to reach our audience. We envision these partnerships focusing on the involvement of your students and faculty in being hackers and mentors in Hack for Black Lives.
