Research Interest

My current research interests mainly focus on the exotic optical physics in the light interaction with the low-dimensional materials (TMDCs, vdW materials, graphene, etc) and the metamaterials/metasurfaces, with the aim of the broad spectrum of nanophotonic applications from the information technology, novel optoelectronic devices and potential quantum applications. Briefly, those include but are not limited to:

  1. The novel design and theory of ultra-compact and multifunctional electromagnetic metasurface and metamaterials;

  2. The light interaction with low-dimensional materials for (graphene, TMDC, and vdW materials) for (plasmon, phonon, exciton and their hybrids) polaritonics;

  3. The synthetic platform with nanophotonic metamaterials/metasurface with low-dimensional materials for advanced optoelectronic and photonic applications.
