Dr. Guangwei Hu is the Nanyang Assistant Professor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. His research interest is multispectral nanophotonics with the platform of metamaterials, metasurfaces optical crystals, and low-dimensional quantum materials, covering the frequency from visible, infrared, and THz. The long-term goal is to develop the compact nanodevices for novel photonic technologies such as imaging, microscopy, communications, photonic chips, thermal management, computations, quantum devices and others.

He has published more than 80 papers, including Nature (4), Nature Photonics (2), Nature Nanotechnology (1), Nature Electronics (1), eLight (3), Physical Review Letters (1), Nature Communications (10), Science Advances (3), Chemical Reviews (2), Light Science & Applications (5), Advanced Materials (2), Nano Letters (8), ACS Nano (4), Advanced Optical Materials (6) and etc.  He is the recipient of 20th Anniversary Challenge Award by Optica Foundation in 2022, Rising Star of Light by Light: Science & Applications in 2020, NUS Research Scholarships, and President's Graduate Fellowship.
