If you’re seeking support with guidance or help in any way, you are always welcome to contact any member of the Police Academy team. The team is based around supporting and helping others and we will all make time to provide assistance to those that need it.
It is absolutely vital that our team understands it’s direction and has regular meetings to ensure the smoothing operating of the unit.
Upon completing a Police Academy Trainer interview and joining the recruitment team a RTO will be placed on a week trial. During this time they will be expected to complete at least one interview, Module one training and one Module two training. After one of each has been completed by the trial RTO they will be approached by an S/RTO with regards to completing their trial period and will then be allowed to move on to start doing AP's (Assessed patrol). While on trial you must complete interviews with a X/RTO assisting you. It is up to the S/RTO if you have completed the trial period and stay on as a RTO or if you will be removed from the department.
If any time during your Academy work you encounter any form of aggression, you should seek to contact a S/RTO who will deal with the situation in the correct manner, alternatively you may contact the C/RTO or above directly and they will deal with the situation at hand if no other S/RTO are available.
If you are on active holiday/LOA you are not to do any RTO related work. (This includes feedbacks, AP's, Interviews and trainings and anything regarding the RTO department.)
