Welcome to the Recruitment Training Officer handbook! 

This handbook is designed to take you through everything you need to know about the Police Academy and what you need to do when interviewing and training new recruits. But bare in mind, once applying for the Police Academy you should have good knowledge about the general APC procedures and rules.

As a RTO, you will be the first point of call in dealing and training new recruits. You are the face of the Police for the new people joining, which includes their application stage, interview, training and progression.  But it doesn’t stop there, you will assist the people in bettering their career as a Police officer and helping them should they need assistance or further training.
