For issues specific to Minecraft itself, compatibility on various devices, etc., please do the following:

Search the community support forums to see if your issue has been addressed
Ask the Minecraft mentor community on Facebook.
If that does not solve your problem, contact Minecraft support.

Student Site

Videos Not Playing

Each video on the Student Support Site has a drive-embedded version and a YouTube link to try to maximize usability across various board restriction policies.
Some students may still not be able to view embedded videos if logged into Google Drive due to school/board restrictions.
If videos are not playing, try using Incognito mode.
Reach out to your IT department to request they whitelist the Student Support Site.

404 Error/Site Won't Load

Some students may not be able to view the student site at all if logged in to their Google accounts.
Try using Incognito Mode to access the site if this is happening.
If you can view the site but students cannot, reach out to your IT department to request they whitelist the Student Support Site.

Known issues on iPad

Exporting and Loading World Backups

See this article on ipad World Management.
- - Many teachers have had luck with downloading the world to their own Apple device and using AirDrop to share it with students.
World files cannot be imported from the iCloud > Downloads folder. Follow these steps to move the file to a different folder.
- - On the iPad, move the .mcworld file to On My iPad > Minecraft/EducationEdition (or another folder on the iPad).
  - Select the .mcworld file > Open with > Minecraft: Education Edition.

Multiplayer

At school

For troubleshooting multiplayer difficulties at your school, please refer your ITS to this document (specifically page 7).

Check that your IT department has whitelisted the necessary urls.
Make sure all students are playing on the same version number (Check the bottom right of the screen after logging in).
If the version of Minecraft does not automatically update on logging in, manually download and install the current version.

At home

If students are working from home and attempts to join each others' worlds are unsuccessful, they may need their parents' assistance to:

allow Minecraft as a trusted application
whitelist the URLs in the Multiplayer Update article in their antivirus or firewall.
Make sure all students are playing on the same version number (Check the bottom right of the screen after logging in).
If the version of Minecraft does not automatically update on logging in, students and/or parents can manually download and install the current version.
Students may have more than one e-mail they use for Minecraft: Education Edition (after school camps, clubs, etc.) Go to "switch accounts" on the main play screen to check that they are logged in to their school account.
Try using the Connection Info or join link instead of the picture code to join.

The green arrow indicates which version of Minecraft the student is playing. Students MUST be on the same version of Minecraft in order to join each others' worlds.
