This comic portrays how the the smallest positive affirmation or concern for a family member, friend, or even stranger can help someone get through their struggles- even if they don't share what it is at the moment.
The purple in the first few frames, represents the negative mental wellbeing of the narrator. As the narrator spirals, disassociates, or gets disoriented (it is purposely left vague for any of these interpretations), the meal on their tray gets more and more messy and out of control. The voice of another person caring for the narrator snaps them out of their negative thoughts and allows them to open up to their friend.

This section is here to explain the missed nuances left out in the final comic.
The purple in the frames getting darker, as well as the gray part of the frame closing in on the panels are used to help the idea of the narrator going down a negative spiral. Up until the narrators friend comes to check up on them, the panels are colored black, white, and purple with minimal colors to add a sense of unease. Once the friend steps into the picture, the background lightens up and a subtle green seeps through. Green signifys mental health.
