My name is Ishika and I am a freshman at Drexel University as a Biomedical Engineering major. After a visit with an endocrinologist, I learned how being overweight has effects one would have never thought of, and I hope I am able to educate girls on obesity and why it is important to keep in check of your own health.
The Girl Scout Gold Award is an award given to Girl Scouts who find a problem in their community and create a plan to help bring awareness of it and try to solve it. It is a minimum 80 hour requirement.
I joined the Girl Scouts in my senior year of high school as a Juliette (Independent Girl Scout). I hope this project helps bring the awareness of the effects of obesity and how we can keep in check of our health.
