Onofrio joined the lab in July 2026
Onofrio obtained his PhD in molecular biology at the University of Birmingham working on the role of the m7G cap on transcription and mRNA maturation and stability. Then he moved to King’s College London with a postdoctoral position where he investigated the molecular effects of anti-IL-5 therapy at single cell resolution and, in parallel, he investigated the biology of the RNA-binding proteins of the TTP family upon inflammation and steroids exposure.
