Freshers

This is usually a week of clubbing and laughing, we are trying our hardest to make sure you'll have the best week given the situation. However, this is unfortunately, not going to be a normal club fresher week. We do promise that at the earliest opportunity we will give you a 'mini clubbing freshers week' when government guidelines permitt it and when the pandemic ends. Our freshers week are amazing and Grizedale students never fail to make their voices heard when chanting. We can't wait to see you at the end of the month for freshers and we are working hard to make sure it's the best it can be in the current climate!

Winter Ball

This is our formal event of the year in Michaelmas term. The night is full of laughter, love and drinks as people end up on the dance floor. Each year this event sells out completely and is a much loved event for every college. We are really trying to keep our hopes up that the Winter ball just might happen this year! We will keep you updated on this as always!

Re-freshers week

Refreshers week takes place the first week back in January/Lent term. This is a 'mini' freshers week, which is planned by the JCR and gets students together after a 4 week break. We are hoping refreshers will happen this year and we can put on some good events but with an ever changing situation, we can't predict anything.

Eurovision

This has turned into one of the colleges biggest and most popular event after extrav and winter ball. Our annual Eurovision party attracts all students from around campus, ready to proudly watch their home countries. Each year around 300 students head to our bar, where they can watch the contest on 6 TVs and 1 projector in our 3 floored bar with cocktails and the sofas. A night we already can't wait to host again.

Warriors

This is the yearly sporting competiton between our college and our rival college Pendle. There is more information on this on the Sports page.

Extrav

Extrav is the end of year, summer party. It is the biggest night of the year! Each college has their own extrav but the most sought after ticket is Grizedales. Don't worry, Grizedale students get first priority to tickets before other college students can buy the rest! The night is amazing, a stage is set up for DJs and Bands (organised by the JCR) and multiple activites are also there such as electronic bull riding machines. The JCR team do an incredible job at organising this and that must not be forgotten. The party goes on until 4am and it is a night of cute pictures, a laugh and one not to miss. We are already counting down the days until this amazing night again.
